Trichlor—or“Trichloro-S-Triazinetrione”—is a type of chlorine that’s commonly used in swimming pools.

AQUACLEAR TCCA (Trichlor) Tablet Usage Guide

1. Purpose

AQUACLEAR TCCA tablets are a stabilized chlorine disinfectant used to:
✔ Kill bacteria, algae, and other contaminants.
✔ Provide long-lasting chlorination (slow-dissolving).
✔ Help maintain pool hygiene with added Cyanuric acid (CYA) for UV protection.

2. Application Methods

Floating Dispenser: Place 1–3 tablets in a chlorine floater (adjust based on pool size).

Skimmer Basket: Add 1–2 tablets directly into the skimmer (only if pump runs 24/7).

Automatic Chlorinator: Use with an inline feeder for controlled release.

3. Dosage Recommendations

⚠ Note:

Do not exceed 5 ppm free chlorine (test regularly).

Do not mix with other chemicals (especially calcium hypochlorite or non-stabilized chlorine).

4. Safety & Handling

✔ Wear gloves when handling tablets.
✔ Store in a cool, dry place (away from sunlight and moisture).
✔ Keep away from children and pets (TCCA is highly concentrated).
❌ Never throw tablets directly into the pool (can bleach liners or damage surfaces).

5. Monitoring & Adjustments

Test free chlorine (2–4 ppm) and pH (7.4–7.6) regularly.

If chlorine is too high, reduce tablet count or remove floater temporarily.

If cyanuric acid (CYA) exceeds 50 ppm, switch to unstabilized chlorine temporarily.
